The three flatmates agree to a system whereby, if one of them wants to bring home a partner, they will give notice so that the others can arrange to be out. But Robin spoils the arrangement when he brings the nurse he is dating home without warning.

May kisses Cecil but faces a milk shortage before the Transport Minister's visit. Jack fails at milking a cow. Cecil calls Gloria for milk, irking Jack. Despite preparations, the Minister's train speeds past the station without stopping.
