TVRI Sulawesi Barat (LPP TVRI Stasiun Sulawesi Barat) is the regional public broadcasting station of TVRI (Televisi Republik Indonesia) serving West Sulawesi Province (Provinsi Sulawesi Barat) on the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. The station was formally established on February 14, 2007, when the first broadcast aired from the governor`s office in Mamuju, and was officially inaugurated on August 19, 2011, by Governor Anwar Adnan Saleh and TVRI Director Utama Imas Sunarya . Its headquarters are located in the governor`s office complex in Kelurahan Rangas, Mamuju City, the provincial capital. As a dedicated source for online television, TVRI Sulawesi Barat broadcasts under the slogan Media Sipakalaqbi` (Media that Respect Each Other), reflecting the local values of cooperation and mutual respect in the Mandar language. The station broadcasts in Indonesian, Mandar, and Mamasa languages, serving the diverse linguistic communities of West Sulawesi .

The programming schedule allows viewers to watch live channel coverage of local news, public dialogues, and cultural programming. The flagship local news program is West Sulawesi Today (also known locally by its Indonesian title), a daily news bulletin covering regional events, economic developments, and government activities across West Sulawesi. The program regularly features expert guests discussing provincial issues; for example, in February 2024, M. La`bi, an Intermediate Expert Statistician from BPS West Sulawesi, appeared on West Sulawesi Today to explain that the province`s economic growth reached 5.25 percent in 2023, driven by the processing industry sector which grew by 14.46 percent, and to discuss the corresponding reductions in the open unemployment rate to 2.27 percent and the percentage of people living in extreme poverty to 0.75 percent . The station also produces Bincang Malaqbi (Respectful Discussion), a public dialogue talk show addressing regional development issues, social services, and government programs. In August 2023, Kepala BSIP Sulawesi Barat Repelita Kallo met with Kepala TVRI Stasiun Sulawesi Barat Fuad Syarif to coordinate the use of Bincang Malaqbi as a platform for socializing the duties and functions of the new Agricultural Instrument Standards Body (BSIP) to farmers and small business owners across the province .

TVRI Sulawesi Barat is actively expanding its digital broadcast infrastructure to ensure equitable access to public broadcasting across the province. In March 2026, the station collaborated with the Government of Central Mamuju Regency (Pemerintah Kabupaten Mamuju Tengah) to prepare strategic land grants for the construction of a new digital transmission tower. Bupati Mamuju Tengah accompanied Kepala TVRI Sulawesi Barat, along with the Regional Secretary, the Head of the Housing, Settlement and Land Office (Perkimtan), the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (PUPR), and the Camat of Topoyo, to inspect the proposed tower location. This initiative aims to expand digital broadcast coverage to areas that remain blank spots, particularly in Mamuju Tengah, ensuring that more residents can access TVRI broadcasts with clear digital picture quality. The Central Mamuju Chapter of the West Sulawesi Journalists Association (IJS) expressed appreciation for the collaborative effort, noting that the construction of more efficient digital transmission infrastructure will enhance public access to information and promote regional potential .

TVRI Sulawesi Barat has established partnerships with various government agencies to support public information dissemination. In October 2025, the station signed a partnership agreement with the Mamuju Class II Immigration Office, alongside RRI, to better inform the public about immigration procedures and services. V. Yosa Anggara, Head of the Mamuju Immigration Office, explained that whilst government agencies work behind the scenes, the public often remains unaware of what they actually do, and this partnership will help people understand how the office can assist them .

For audiences seeking a reliable live stream, TVRI Sulawesi Barat is widely available as a free-to-air service via digital terrestrial television (DVB-T2). The primary frequency in Mamuju City and Kabupaten Mamuju is UHF channel 28 (530 MHz) with virtual channel 2, using the TVRI Gunung Pati`di multiplex. In Pasangkayu, the station broadcasts on UHF channel 30, using the TVRI Pasangkayu multiplex . The station broadcasts via satellite in MPEG-4 HD 1080 format on the Merah Putih (Telkom-4) satellite at 108.0 degrees East on frequency 3720 MHz with horizontal polarization, a symbol rate of 32727, and FEC of 2/3, using DVB-S2 8PSK transmission with no encryption (Free-to-Air) . The station is led by Kepala Stasiun Fuad Syarif (as of August 2023), with previous leadership by Fuad Syarif continuing into 2026 . The station holds a permanent broadcasting license from the Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika Republik Indonesia, ensuring that its local news, cultural programming, and community dialogue reaches viewers across West Sulawesi Province and the global Indonesian diaspora. The broadcast coverage area includes Mamuju, Pasangkayu, Majene, Polewali Mandar, Mamasa, and the newly served Central Mamuju region, with plans for continued transmitter expansion to serve more remote communities .
