Taevas TV7 online television

Taevas TV7 is an Estonian free-to-air television channel operating in the Christian religious format. The primary language of broadcasting is Estonian. The channel was launched in 2009 and is part of the international TV7 network, which began in Finland in 2003. The TV7 family today includes channels in Finland (Taivas TV7), Sweden (Himlen TV7), Estonia (Taevas TV7), and a news channel in Israel (TV7 Israel News). Taevas TV7 is the only Estonian-language Christian television channel in the country.

The channel is owned and operated by Lighthouse Network Ltd Oy, a non-profit company based in Helsinki, Finland. The Estonian branch operates as Taevas TV7 Kristlik Ühing MTÜ. The channel is directed by CEO Helina-Diana Helmdorf. The channel operates entirely through viewer donations and does not receive government funding.

On air, Taevas TV7 is a 24/7 ecumenical and apolitical channel, with a mission to serve as a unifying platform for Christians of all denominations in Estonia. Over 40 percent of the channel's content is original Estonian-language production, with the remainder consisting of translated programs from partner channels. The programming includes live prayer nights, Bible teachings, documentary films, Christian music programs, children's shows, family discussion programs, and testimonial series. Notable programs include TV7 Israel News, Christian World News, Martyr's Voice, and Superbook, an animated Bible series for children. The channel also broadcasts studio discussions on psychology, family relationships, history, and culture.

The channel is available throughout Estonia via cable and IPTV networks on major operators including Telia, Elisa, STV, Telset, Levikom, and Uus Programm. The channel can also be viewed via satellite and through the official Taevas TV7 website. An extensive video archive of over 15,000 programs is available for free on-demand viewing. The channel also publishes the Christian newspaper Head Uudised (Good News) and Christian literature through its own publishing house.

The TV7 network also operates a mobile application for iOS and Android devices, which provides live streaming, program archive access, a seven-day program guide, and features such as offline downloads and Chromecast support. The app allows users to save favorite programs to a personal list, resume watching from where they left off, and enable automatic playback of the next episode in a series.

In addition to television and online streaming, Taevas TV7 distributes its audio content as podcasts, available on platforms including Spotify and YouTube. The channel is supported by a volunteer donation system, including a dedicated donation phone number (900 1770) in Estonia.

As of 2025, the TV7 network has modernized its mobile applications, releasing updated versions for both Android and iOS devices. The apps support subtitles, screen rotation for landscape viewing, and reduced data usage options. The Finnish version of the TV7 app is also available for users in Finland.

In Estonia, the channel is also carried on the Lounea cable network on channel 65. The channel's Finnish counterpart, Taivas TV7, has been on air since 2003 and is the second most recognized Christian media brand in Finland.

Taevas TV7 strives to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with every Estonian, serving as a common platform for all Christians and denominations in Estonia. The mission of the channel is to support spiritual growth and provide Christian worldview content for families, while offering fresh, hopeful, and faith-building programming that is unique in the Estonian media landscape. The channel aims to restore and strengthen Christian values in Estonian society, which faces challenges such as family breakdown, youth identity crises, and mental health issues.
