Ameritrade live stream

Ameritrade online television

Ameritrade is the feed of the financial news and education channel that the American broker TD Ameritrade launched on 24 October 2017, a free over-the-top service that started with four hours of live original programming and by February 2018 was on the air from seven in the morning to four in the afternoon out of its headquarters in Chicago. The channel brings investors real-time business updates and growth forecasts from company chiefs, analysts and investors alongside the veteran traders of the broker, with hosts such as Nicole Petallides on air from the Nasdaq MarketSite in New York. This stream is the distribution for Vizio screens on the Amagi platform, with an English closed-caption track and an adaptive ladder up to 1920 by 1080.

The brand behind the channel is older than the channel. Ameritrade grew out of First Omaha Securities, founded in 1975 by Joe Ricketts, added the clearing broker Ameritrade Clearing in 1983 and went public in March 1997. In 2006 it bought the American operations of TD Waterhouse and became TD Ameritrade, and in 2020 the Charles Schwab Corporation acquired the broker. After that acquisition the network was rebranded, and since August 2023 it runs as Schwab Network. The Ameritrade name survives inside Schwab as the platform Schwab Trading Powered by Ameritrade and as the thinkorswim tools, and the old YouTube channel of the broker now redirects to Charles Schwab.
