During the Sunday evening culture programs, the documentary on rural Provence stood out for its quiet interviews and local detail. I watched from abroad on a slow hotel connection, and the stream held up better than my usual cable app, though the schedule could be easier to follow.

The picture looks a little soft

The HD picture is sharp on my laptop, and the stream has stayed stable without buffering or sound delays all evening.

The morning headlines are clear, but the scrolling ticker moves so quickly that I miss half the names and figures. Slowing it down would make the updates much easier to follow.

I watched the late-night documentary on Istanbul from abroad, and the mix of history, street scenes, and practical travel details felt more useful than most cable reruns. The stream stayed steady on a slow evening, though the transitions were a little abrupt.

A late-night documentary on Istanbul's hidden courtyards was a pleasant surprise. The history was interesting, although the presenter moved through each location a little too quickly.

The evening headlines are concise, but the election debate deserved more time than the endless travel promos. The weather update was spot on, at least - my rain-soaked commute confirms it.

The lesser-known island episodes are usually my favorite, though I wish they showed more everyday life between the landmarks.

Tonight's mountain rail journey was beautifully filmed, especially the shots of the small stations and passing villages. I only wish the episode had spent longer with the local guides.

The walking tour through old markets was a nice change from the usual big-city sights. I liked hearing the vendors and street sounds instead of constant narration.
