Altanto TV is a Dominican multimedia platform operating in the news, entertainment, and interview format. The primary language of broadcasting is Spanish. The platform was founded by journalist and communicator Colombia Alcántara, who has over 20 years of experience in major Dominican media outlets. Altanto TV began as a television program called “AlTanto con Colombia,” which later evolved into a YouTube channel in 2018, and in 2023 expanded into a full television channel with three modern studios equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The platform’s 15th anniversary was celebrated in September 2025 .

On air, Altanto TV features a mix of biographical interviews, informative magazines, comedy, investigative journalism, and special documentary series. Altanto TV is available throughout the Dominican Republic via Claro TV on channel 106, on Wind channel 91, and on a network of cable systems nationally and internationally . The platform has a strong digital presence, with its YouTube channel reaching over 600,000 subscribers and more than 124 million accumulated views. According to Social Blade statistics, in April 2025 Altanto TV became the most-viewed channel in the Dominican Republic with 28 million views in 30 days .

Altanto TV has received recognition for its work, winning the award for Best YouTube Channel at the 8th National Digital Journalism Awards in November 2025, competing against major channels such as De Último Minuto TV, Las Exclusivas de José Peguero, and Impolíticamente Correcto . The Observatorio de Medios Digitales also awarded Colombia Alcántara a special distinction for her career dedicated to creating high-value content .
