The station was founded on June 22, 2002, originally as a production house specializing in Islamic lectures, and began test broadcasts on October 28, 2003, before signing on terrestrial television on May 1, 2006 The station is owned by Yayasan Daarut Tauhiid (Daarut Tauhiid Foundation), an Islamic organization founded by prominent Indonesian preacher Abdullah Gymnastiar (Aa Gym), and its studios are located on Jalan Gegerkalong, Sukasari, Bandung As a dedicated source for online television, MQTV has evolved from a traditional broadcaster into a multi-platform digital dakwah and education media operating under the slogan "Sahabat Penyejuk Hati" (Soul-Soothing Friend)
