Al Araby TV is the news channel of the Al Araby Television Network, owned by the Qatari company Fadaat Media. The network began with a trial broadcast from London and later moved its headquarters to Lusail, the planned city north of Doha, where the news output runs from a purpose-built broadcast centre. Beside the news channel the family keeps Al Araby 2, devoted to culture, arts, film and series, and the digital projects Ana Al Araby and Al Araby Tube.

The network states its own scale: hundreds of media staff, eleven bureaus across the Middle East and beyond, and correspondents in more than thirty cities, with regional centres in Beirut and Tunis and offices from Yemen and Iraq to the United States, Russia, Pakistan and North Africa. Its leadership line runs from the founding executive director Islam Lotfy through the Lebanese journalist Abbas Nasser, a former Al Jazeera presenter, to the Palestinian writer Abbad Yahya, who now leads the network as general manager. What comes out of it is news, talk shows and documentaries in Arabic, built for a pan-Arab audience and carried around the clock.
