labor14 online television

labor14 is an educational television channel from Thuringia, Germany — the learning channel of the Free State's media landscape, created to bring media education to the screen. Broadcasting in German from the heart of the country, it serves pupils, teachers and everyone curious about how television and digital media are made, how they work and how to use them with a critical eye. It is a workshop on the air: open, practical and rooted in the classrooms and studios of Thuringia.

The schedule is built around media education programs that explain news, images and the digital world to young viewers, and school television made together with pupils and students from across the state. Student productions from workshops and project weeks show what young people can do with a camera and a question, while magazine segments report on education, training and everyday life in Thuringia. Contributions from the region's community media round out a grid made for learning rather than for ratings.

For families, classrooms and anyone learning German media from the inside, labor14 is a patient companion.
