Kordestan live stream

Kordestan online television

Kordestan is the provincial television channel of Kurdistan province in western Iran, broadcasting from the regional capital Sanandaj. Part of the IRIB family of provincial services, it speaks to its audience in both Persian and Kurdish, giving the Kurdish language, music and everyday life of the region a visible and respected place on Iranian television. For the people of the province, and for Kurds far from home, it is the screen that still sounds like Sanandaj.

The schedule is rooted in the life of the province. Provincial news bulletins in Persian and Kurdish cover events from Sanandaj to Saqqez and Marivan, while Kurdish-language cultural programs carry the music, poetry and traditions of the region, from folk song to the ceremonies of the seasons. Documentaries on regional life film the towns, villages and mountains of Kurdistan, and religious and educational segments complete a general-interest grid that serves the whole family through the day.

For viewers in Kurdistan province and for the Kurdish diaspora abroad, Kordestan keeps the region within reach.
