KHL Prime live stream

KHL Prime online television

KHL Prime is the high-definition sister channel of the television service of the Kontinental Hockey League, the top ice hockey league of Russia with clubs from several countries and its headquarters in Moscow. Where the main channel covers the whole of the league day by day, Prime selects the flagship: the central games of the matchday, shown in full high definition with the league's own commentary and studio coverage wrapped around them. The channel went on air in April 2016, eight years after the league itself was founded as the successor to the old Russian Superleague.

The logic of the schedule is simple: fewer games, more attention. Each chosen match arrives with a fuller pre-game studio, more cameras and a longer post-game analysis, and between matchdays the channel runs the league's magazine programmes, highlights and classic encounters from the archive. In spring, when the Gagarin Cup playoffs begin, Prime carries the biggest series of each round, turning the evening into the main hockey event of the day across the league's vast geography.

For the viewer who wants the best production the league can offer, this is the address. Watching needs no subscription beyond the free online feed: Watch Live in a browser on a computer, a tablet or a connected television.
