Jogja TV is a private local television station based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and was the first local television station established in the province. The channel was inaugurated by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X on September 17, 2004, and is owned by PT Yogyakarta Tugu Televisi, currently under the leadership of Director Akhmad Junaidi. Its headquarters are located on Jalan Wonosari Km. 9, Sendangtirto, Berbah, Sleman, Yogyakarta. As a dedicated source for online television, Jogja TV broadcasts in the Indonesian and Javanese languages with a format focused on local news, Javanese culture, and educational programming, operating under the slogan "Tradisi Tiada Henti" (Never-Ending Tradition). The channel is a member of the Indonesia Network, which includes other local stations such as Bali TV, Bandung TV, and Aceh TV.



The programming schedule allows viewers to watch live channel coverage of flagship local programs that spotlight Yogyakarta's cultural heritage. In the news category, the channel produces Seputar Jogja (news in Indonesian), Pawartos Ngayogyakarta (news in the Javanese language), and Inyong Siaran. Entertainment and cultural shows include Klinong-Klinong Campursari (traditional Javanese music program), Rolasan (live interactive music with indie bands), Jelajah Kampus (campus exploration program), and Dokter Kita (health talk show). Prior to its digital transition, the channel began broadcasting with 7 hours daily (16:00-23:00 WIB) and later expanded to 18 hours (06:00-24:00 WIB) with a 10 KW transmitter. As a station focused on local wisdom, the vast majority of its airtime (approximately 80%) is dedicated to local content.



The channel has a rich history of community service, winning special awards from the Regent of Bantul for its electronic media coverage of the 2006 earthquake. Other accolades include the 2006 Best Public Service Announcement award for the "Simbah Naik Becak" Pilkada commercial, a Cakram Award nomination for best local television category in 2006, the 2009 Peduli Budaya (Culture Care) award from Sri Sultan HB X, and 1st place in the national documentary film competition on the theme of legal counseling activities. The channel broadcasts on UHF channel 48 in the DVB-T2 digital standard for the Yogyakarta region. Its coverage area includes Yogyakarta, Bantul, Sleman, Gunung Kidul, and Kulonprogo, extending to Surakarta (Solo), Boyolali, Sukoharjo, Wonogiri, Sragen, Klaten, Magelang, Purworejo, Kutoarjo, Banjarnegara, Kebumen, Wonosobo, Temanggung and surrounding areas. The channel is accessible as tv online via the Teleon platform and through other streaming services, ensuring that its cultural and educational programming reaches viewers across Central Java and the global Indonesian diaspora, particularly those interested in Javanese traditions and heritage.
