GRT TV exists in two completely different forms in relation to Turkey. One is a local channel based in Gaziantep, Turkey, while the other is a channel that, despite broadcasting on the Türksat satellite, is actually based in Gagauzia and is only historically linked to Turkey.

1. GRT TV (Gaziantep, Turkey)

This television channel is a local broadcaster based in Gaziantep in southeastern Turkey. It positions itself as the only television channel in the region that broadcasts via satellite, covering not only Gaziantep itself but also neighboring provinces. The primary language of broadcasting is Turkish. The channel is available via the Türksat 4A satellite and focuses on entertainment and informational content aimed at a local audience. In the new season, the channel announced the launch of a program called Özlem Evinize Geliyor with host Özlem Özyaşar, in which she will visit the homes of famous people in the region to discuss decoration, fashion, and lifestyle.

2. GRT (Gagauziya Radio Televizionu) — Broadcasting from Gagauzia

There is also a channel with a similar name that is often confused with the Turkish one due to its broadcast on Türksat. However, this is the official television channel of Gagauzia, an autonomous region of Moldova. Although it is available on the Türksat 3A satellite, its headquarters are located in Comrat, Gagauzia. The primary mission of this channel is the preservation and development of the Gagauz language, which is a Turkic language closely related to Turkish. Its programming includes content in Gagauz, Romanian, and Russian.
