Access Nashua online television
Access Nashua is a public-access television channel serving Nashua, New Hampshire, in the United States. It gives the community room for political, cultural, artistic, spiritual and individual expression on screen. The channel is funded by cable subscriber franchise fees, though that revenue has fallen as viewing habits shift away from traditional cable. It is managed under contract by the Community Media Services Group for the City of Nashua.
The schedule lets viewers Watch Live coverage of non-commercial content created by local residents. Citizens can produce shows by submitting their ideas and plans for approval, and the station provides facilities and production equipment for members of the public, with training from the operations manager. Designated as the city's Public Access Channel, it exists to promote community dialogue and communications diversity, so the lineup carries neighborhood groups, school and nonprofit productions, local music and arts, public affairs discussions and long interviews by Nashua residents. The station sits at 11 Riverside St., behind the Department of Public Works building.
Access Nashua is carried alongside two sister services, Nashua Government TV and Nashua ETV, all run through CTV - Nashua Community Television, the municipal department at City Hall on 229 Main Street. Nashua itself is the second-largest city in northern New England with 91,322 residents, a seat of Hillsborough County, known as New Hampshire's "Gate City" and built around textile mills dating to the Nashua Manufacturing Company of 1823. Watch Live as resident-produced programs go out, or stream online in HD from any screen; the daily schedule and archived episodes stay on file.
