DLTV 2 online television

DLTV 2 is the classroom channel of Thai educational television for Primary 2, the second year of Thai primary school, part of the nationwide network of the Distance Learning Foundation under Royal Patronage. Every school day the channel broadcasts live lessons from the teachers of Wang Klaikangwon School in Hua Hin, whose classrooms have been on air since the foundation's first transmission on 5 December 1995. The royal project was created by King Bhumibol Adulyadej so that children in remote schools without enough teachers could follow the same lessons. Watch Live the classroom feed and keep a steady Thailand Live Stream of school television.

The timetable follows the national curriculum: reading and writing in Thai, arithmetic with numbers up to a thousand, first science about the world around us, social studies and good manners, health and physical education, art and music, English vocabulary and career skills. Lessons run in real time with the school day, so classes across Thailand learn the same material at the same hour, and teachers in small schools use the broadcast while they guide the room. The foundation records everything, and each class returns to the archive with advance streams and replays, with closed captions and a sign-language window for viewers who need them.

The feed is published as an open internet stream in high definition, so pupils and families can stream online on a phone, tablet, laptop or TV without a subscription, and the official site carries the timetable, the live page, the lesson archive and a forum where teachers exchange plans. The foundation's official video channel, known to generations of pupils as the teacher in the box, keeps recordings and school programmes from the same catalogue, with tens of thousands of subscribers.
