Disney Channel Latin America online television
Disney Channel Latin America is the regional pay-television network of The Walt Disney Company for Spanish-speaking America, the Latin American counterpart of the American channel of the same name. It launched on 27 July 2000, initially as a premium service, and in 2004 it moved into the basic tiers of the cable operators of the region, when the company rebranded its channels worldwide. The network is operated by Disney Media Networks Latin America and runs several separate feeds with distinct schedules and time zones, among them one broadcast from Colombia for Colombia, Venezuela, Central America and the Caribbean, and a Pacific feed launched on 1 November 2009 for Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia.
Programming is marketed mainly to children, though the audience has widened over the years to teenagers and young adults, and it mixes animation, live-action comedies and films. In its first years most of the schedule was imported from the American channel, with the on-air graphics created by the studio GEDEON; from 2005 the network became one of the most watched channels in the region and began carrying the Disney Channel Original Series such as That's So Raven and Phil of the Future, followed between 2006 and 2007 by Hannah Montana, The Cheetah Girls, High School Musical and Jump In!. Since 1 June 2008 the company also runs a preschool sister channel, Disney Junior.
The feeds are carried by cable, satellite and internet television operators across Hispanic America, and the official regional site publishes the daily grid, the episode pages and the dates of live shows, so viewers can Watch Live from a browser and stream online on a phone, tablet, laptop or smart TV where their operator allows it. Watch TV Online Free clips, songs and episodes from the regional video library and keep a steady Argentina Live Stream of family television running through the afternoon: a real TV Online window onto Latin America.
