DHA online television
DHA, short for Demirören Haber Ajansı, is a Turkish news agency and continuous video news service founded on 30 September 1999 as Doğan Haber Ajansı, the result of a merger between the Hürriyet and Milliyet news agencies, and renamed after it passed to the Demirören Group in March 2018. Headquartered in Istanbul, it keeps 34 bureaux across Turkey together with correspondents abroad, and supplies text, video and photographs both to the television, radio and newspaper titles of its own media group and to other broadcasters. On 14 September 2018 the agency stopped distributing its video output by satellite and moved to internet distribution, which is how the continuous feed now reaches viewers directly.
The newsroom produces on average 400 news items, 200 videos and 1,500 photographs a day, in Turkish and through foreign-language services in English, German and Chinese. Coverage runs from breaking news and politics in Ankara to sport, economy, world affairs, local reporting from the provinces, health, education and culture, with photo and video galleries and a dedicated tip line through which the public can send images and information. Reporters file from courts, press conferences, parliamentary sessions, disaster sites and demonstrations, and the agency is known for the speed with which its correspondents reach an incident and put the first pictures on the wire.
The video service is free to watch and needs no set-top box to stream online: the continuous feed plays in a browser and on phones, tablets, laptops and smart TVs, so viewers in Turkey and abroad follow the same reporting at the same moment. Watch Live as the day unfolds, follow the DHA Live Stream, use this TV Online service for Turkish breaking news, Watch TV Online Free, stream online and keep the Turkey Live Stream on the agency's rolling coverage around the clock.
