DerryTV 23 online television
DerryTV 23, also carried on cable as DTV 23, is the public and educational access television channel for the Town of Derry, New Hampshire, operated by Derry Community Access Media, the town media center located on the lower level at 14 Manning Street. Where its sister outlet DerryTV 17 carries the meetings of the elected bodies, this channel is the community side of the service: locally produced shows, coverage of town events, school and youth programming, arts and culture segments and informational content about life in Derry. Broadcasting in English, it gives residents a place to see their own town on screen.
The schedule is built by and for the community, with programs made by local producers, neighborhood organizations and students, alongside recordings of festivals, ceremonies and other events around Derry. The media center works on a non-partisan basis and exists to promote free speech and education through community participation, so a resident can propose a show, take part as a contributing producer or learn camera and editing skills through its training and internship programs. Because the channel is non-commercial and is supported through the town cable franchise arrangement, its purpose is service rather than advertising, and the same programs are kept as an archive so viewers can return to an episode after its original broadcast.
DerryTV 23 is free to watch and needs no set-top box to stream online: the live feed and the archived programs play in a browser and on phones, tablets, laptops and smart TVs, bringing community television to residents at home and to former neighbors who have moved away from the town. Watch Live as a program airs, follow the DerryTV 23 Live Stream, use this TV Online service to keep up with local life, Watch TV Online Free, stream online and keep the United States Live Stream tuned to Derry around the clock.
