Canal 1 (formerly known as Canal 21 or C21) is a Chilean free-to-air generalist television channel broadcasting in Chillán, Ñuble Region . The primary language of broadcasting is Spanish. The channel began its transmissions on January 16, 1996, as “Sur Televisión“ and later became known as “Canal 21 (C21)“ . It operated under the ownership of MASE Comunicaciones until 2024, when it was sold to Marva Comunicaciones . On November 6, 2024, the channel was relaunched as “Canal 1“, adopting a new identity and the slogan “"Todos somos uno"“ (We are all one) .
On air, Canal 1 features generalist programming aimed at the residents of the Ñuble Region, covering news, culture, and local entertainment. The channel is part of a strategy by its new owner, Marva Comunicaciones, to expand its reach in the southern zone of the country following the launch of Canal 1 in Osorno in 2023 .
