C-SPAN 2 live stream

C-SPAN 2 online television

C-SPAN 2 is the United States Senate's own window on television: a public-affairs channel that carries the Senate floor gavel to gavel, without commentary, editing or advertising. It belongs to the C-SPAN network, the Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network founded in 1979, which is funded by the American cable industry rather than by the government. Launched in 1986, the channel complements the flagship C-SPAN, which covers the House of Representatives, and C-SPAN3, which carries committee hearings and other official events from Washington.

When the Senate is in session, the channel runs the proceedings live and uninterrupted; the rest of the week it fills with hearings, press conferences and policy discussions from the capital. On weekends the channel turns into Book TV, a block that has run since 1998: author interviews, festival coverage and long-form conversations about history, politics and current affairs. The format is deliberately plain — the point is the primary source, not the presenter.

Watch Live when a confirmation hearing or a filibuster goes long, because the C-SPAN 2 Live Stream carries the same uninterrupted feed that cable viewers receive nationwide. Use this TV Online service on a phone, a tablet, a computer or a television set, Watch TV Online Free wherever the feed is open, stream online when a major vote is scheduled, and keep the United States Live Stream running for the raw material of American democracy.
