BS TV Tokyo online television

BS TV Tokyo is the satellite service of the TV Tokyo network in Japan, operated by BS TV TOKYO Corporation and held in full by TV Tokyo Holdings. It went on air on 1 December 2000, one of the commercial satellite stations opened together that day by the key terrestrial networks, and it has transmitted full-specification 1920x1080 high definition from that first night. For eighteen years the audience knew another name: the channel answered to BS JAPAN until 30 September 2018, and on 1 October 2018 the corporate name and the service name were changed together, leaving the on-air brand BS Tere-To and the corporate mark BS TV TOKYO.

On 16 April 2018 the physical channel moved from BS-3ch to BS-1ch, slots were cut to sixteen and the resolution settled at 1440x1080.
