BS Shochiku Tokyu live stream

BS Shochiku Tokyu online television

BS Shochiku Tokyu was a Japanese free satellite channel that existed for a precisely dated period: from 26 March 2022 to 30 June 2025. It broadcast on channel 260, physical channel BS-23ch, and its documented genre list put films first, followed by live relays of kabuki and other traditional stage arts, variety, documentary, drama and sports coverage. The operating company was set up on 22 July 2020 with a capital of 100 million yen and a stated business of satellite core broadcasting under the Broadcasting Act.

On 18 June 2025 a cable television group agreed to acquire all of its shares and signed the transfer agreement, even though closure had already been scheduled for 30 June 2025; broadcasting continued under a new name. From 1 July 2025 the company is JCOM BS Co., Ltd. and the channel is J:COM BS. The channel number 260 did not change, but no remote-control key ID is assigned, so tuning is manual. The data broadcasting systems for weather warnings, earthquake and tsunami information were carried over unchanged, interactive programmes remain excluded, and both the associate membership of the commercial broadcasters association and the satellite broadcasting association membership were inherited.

The schedule changed with the ownership: from 1 October 2025 the channel runs 24 hours and is built around Asian dramas, two-hour suspense films, showa-era dramas and animation, and song programmes, with a declared core audience of viewers aged 65 and over.
