Boonniyom TV online television
Boonniyom TV is a Thai religious channel that describes itself as non-profit media television based on integrity for mankind, and it broadcasts around the clock. Its strapline calls it television for humanity in which every moment reports the truth. The station belongs to the world of the Asoke communities, whose web portal opens with the motto of being poor yet cheerful at heart, and whose founder Phra Bodhirak, born Mongkhon Rakphong in 1934, broke with mainstream Thai Buddhism in 1975 to build an ascetic revival of the forest monk tradition.
Bodhirak had been a television entertainer and songwriter who turned to Buddhism at the age of 36, and in 1989, after declaring himself a once-returner in the Pali sense of Sakadagami, he was formally excommunicated from the mainstream Thai sangha. The movement he left behind runs monasteries at Santi Asoke in Bang Kapi, Si Asok in Sisaket, Sali Asok in Nakhon Sawan and Phathomma Asok in Nakhon Pathom, and the British scholar Peter Harvey described it as egalitarian and democratic in organisation. Its social work includes second-hand stores, farmers markets and a restaurant that serves free meals, and the sect requires vegetarianism, which is why the channel carries much material on natural farming and toxin-free agriculture.
Watch Live through the player on the channel's own site and on the community portal, both of which load the same HLS feed from the x2 Media cloud platform, with renditions at 427x240, 554x480 and 1280x720. The Boonniyom TV Live Stream also runs on YouTube, where the main channel, opened in January 2022, holds more than thirteen thousand videos and a permanent 24 hour broadcast, and a second channel from 2014 carries the community programmes. Use this TV Online service on a phone, a laptop or the living room television, Watch TV Online Free, and stream online whenever a dhamma talk begins. A Thailand Live Stream costs nothing.
