Bonao TV online television
Bonao TV is a general television channel from the Dominican Republic, broadcasting from the town of Bonao, the capital of Monseñor Nouel province in the Cibao region. It presents itself under the slogan Tu Imagen and runs from a single-page website that carries nothing but a live player built on hls.js. The town it serves counted 144,923 residents at the 2022 census, 72,848 men and 72,075 women, spread over 664.37 square kilometres and six municipal districts.
Bonao is one of the oldest settlements in the country and is known locally as the Villa de las Hortensias because of its hydrangeas. The territory belonged to the cacicazgo of Maguá, and in 1495 Bartolomé Colón ordered a fortress built at Sonador against the Taíno resistance led by the nitaino Bonao. On 7 December 1508 the settlement was granted the status of villa with its own coat of arms. The modern municipality carried the name Monseñor Nouel from 1936 until the villa recovered the name Bonao in 1960, with the province created in 1982 and the municipality renamed Bonao again in 2006. Its economy rests on local commerce, rice, cacao and coffee, and on the mining company Americano Níquel (Falcondo).
Watch Live on the player at bonaotv.com, which streams the channel through the Telecasa delivery network and is listed in the iptv-org directory as BonaoTV.do under the general category, with a note that transmission is not continuous. The Bonao TV Live Stream is published as an HLS playlist at around 4.6 megabits per second and is listed at 720p. The town's Carnaval de Bonao is described in the municipal record as one of the most creative and best organised in the country.
