Bloomberg TV US Politics Live Event online television
Bloomberg TV US Politics Live Event is the American politics event feed of Bloomberg Television, the business news channel owned by Bloomberg L.P., produced from the Bloomberg Tower at 731 Lexington Avenue in Manhattan, New York City. The network launched in the United States in mid 1994 as Bloomberg Direct, ran for a year as Bloomberg Information TV and took the name Bloomberg in 1997, when it absorbed the channel space of the defunct Financial News Network and hired most of its former staff. The United States service is headed by Justin Smith, chief executive of Bloomberg Media Group.
The feed opens for the events that move both politics and markets: hearings, announcements from the White House and federal agencies, campaign nights, budget statements and press conferences. Around them run the hours that cover policy from a market angle. Bloomberg: Balance of Power with Joe Mathieu and Kailey Leinz takes the evening slot, Bloomberg Businessweek Daily with Carol Massar and Tim Stenovec the hour before it, and Bloomberg: The Close with Romaine Bostick, Alix Steel and Scarlet Fu ends the trading day. Bloomberg Surveillance with Jonathan Ferro opens the morning, Bloomberg: Open Interest with Matt Miller follows it, and Bloomberg Wall Street Week and Leaders with Lacqua with Francine Lacqua carry the weekend.
Watch Live at any hour, because the Bloomberg TV US Politics Live Event Live Stream stays open through long hearing days and election nights and hands over to London and then to Asia, so coverage that breaks after hours in Washington is carried without interruption. Nothing has to be paid for.
